Riggs Signs with Emporia State
04/28/2010

Morgan Riggs signs at Emporia State.

Liberal's Morgan Riggs signed Wednesday to log miles for the Emporia State Hornets. The two time all state and three time all WAC cross country runner will run in ESU's cross country and track programs. He is the first LHS cross country runner to sign at Emporia State since Andrew Bird in 2000. He led the Redskins to a fifth place finish at state last fall and placed 10th in the state meet. He competed at state three years. Riggs placed second at the WAC meet and led LHS to a WAC championship. Riggs led the Skins to WAC titles in 2008 and 2009. Interviews with Riggs and LHS head coach Darrin Bevis will air Thursday morning between 7:37 and 9 a.m. on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
