'We the People' Visits Coronado Museum
04/23/2010

JoAnne Mansell speaks to the 'We the People' group on Thursday at Coronado Museum.

The 'We the People' group met Thursday night at the Coronado Museum. JoAnne Mansell spoke to the group about the Museum and about Dorothy's House.

Group organizer Jim Rice and Earl Watt then did a presentation on the possibility of a New Heritage Center which would provide a meeting place for middle of the road functions. Watt said the Depot works good for small functions, and the Activity Center works great for big functions, but that there is no middle of the road place for meetings.

The group also discussed the possibility of endorsing candidates in the future. They agreed to set up a meeting with the group 'American Majority' who is a non-partisan political grassroots organization based out of Topeka to come and make a presentation about how to run a successful campaign or how to be a successful political activist.

'We the People' has consistently had 20-30 people attend each meeting with new faces each time according to Rice. They will next meet on Thursday, May 20.
