LHS Volleyball Enters Key Stretch

LHS seniors and coach B

The 5-4 Liberal volleyball team begins a key stretch which will go a long way toward defining their season.  Liberal hosts a quad Tuesday at the Big House before dualing at Dodge City Thursday and hosting their tournament Saturday for 10 matches this week.  Liberal is coming off a 4-2 outing at Ark City this weekend when LHS beat Mulvane, Attica, Circle, and Wichita South but losing to Wichita Northwest and Andover Central.  .

Fourth year head coach Thais Baziquetto-Allen returns five starters from last year's 28-10 team.  Senior middle hitter Jai Chapman is WAC player of the year and a two time first team all WAC selection.  Senior setter Katy Garcia is a returning all WAC player.  Junior middle hitter Keynitra Houston, Jr. outside hitter Megan Besecker, and So. RH Abbie Hebbert return to the varsity lineup.  They are joined by newcomers Fr. OH Jada Mickens, Sr. RH Sofia Heredia, So. S Jessica Cisneros, and So. libero Brittany Granger. 

Liberal plays Colby, Guymon, and Ulysses for a quad on Tuesday at 4 at the Big House.  Here is the Liberal Tournament schedule for Saturday.
