Sammy Obando is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Sammy Obando

Liberal senior runner Sammy Obando is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week.  Obando led LHS to a meet win at Great Bend Thursday with a fourth place finish in 17:49.  Obando finished 27th at last year's state meet as LHS finished fifth in 5A.  Obando also runs track and participates in scholars bowl and Stand Out. 

He and the Redskins compete a Hesston Thursday for their second meet of the season.
