Two More Shutouts for 10th Ranked Seward

Sydney Cicchetti pitches Seward to their sixth shutout win in eight games.

Seward took two over Barton Wednesday at Lady Saints Field 4-0 and 3-0. In game one, Erin Roufosse allowed just one hit and struck out seven in the win. Seward didn't put up big numbers offensively with just five hits, but they broke open a 1-0 game with four runs in the sixth. Brittany Kent had two RBI's. In game two, Sydney Cicchetti allowed just four hits in the shutout. Shelby Casey had two hits and two RBI's for the Saints. With the wind blowing in from right, Seward scored just seven runs on 11 hits during the double header while Barton didn't score and managed just five hits. Seward is 36-7 and plays at Butler's tournament in El Dorado this weekend. Barton is 6-21.
