Ty Jacobs is KJCCC Player of the Week
03/11/2010

Seward County 2nd Baseman Ty Jacobs has been named the Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week. Jacobs put up big numbers on the week from a position that you don’t normally see big numbers from at 2nd base. He hit .565 with 5 doubles, a home run, and 11 RBI’s in 8 games while helping lead Seward County to a 7-1 week. He had a huge weekend against Butler going 2 for 4 in the opener with 3 runs scored and 4 RBI’s including a double and a home run. In game two of the series he was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI’s and in game four he was 2 for 2. Jacobs left Sunday’s game with an undisclosed injury and is likely to miss the Saints next series against Howard but should be ready for the Saints next conference series against Barton on the 20th and 21st.
