Bulldogs Win First Diamond Classic

Sixteen teams and their fans filled the Liberal Baseball Complex Saturday and Sunday for the first Liberal Diamond Classic.  The Liberal Bulldogs won the tournament going 4-0.  They beat the Hooker Horny Toads 5-4 in the championship.  Liberal defeated a team with players from Scott City, Sublette, and Holcomb 12-7 in the semis and Hooker scored two in the seventh to defeat Hugoton in the semis. 

The Cimarron River Rattler 14's won their tournament in Liberal going 4-0 beating Beaver 13-0, Guymon Gray 18-0, Hooker 13-2, and Hugoton 12-3.  All of the games were run rules. 

The Rattler 13's took third out of eight teams.
