US 83, SH 3 re-opened in Beaver County

US Highway 83 across Beaver County Oklahoma has re-opened for the first time since Friday afternoon's blizzard closure. Also re-opened is Oklahoma State Highway 3 and US 412, which is being opened in sections. SH 3/US 412 is now open from Guymon to Elmwood. Officials expect to have the section from Elmwood to Woodward open sometime Sunday afternoon.

Earlier this morning, US 54 was re-opened across the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles. US 54 is now open from Wichita to New Mexico.

US 56 has been fully re-opened across Southwest Kansas and across the Oklahoma Panhandle to New Mexico.

Officials caution that highways and roads remain potentially hazardous, with patchy ice and areas of ponding water possible on road surfaces. Exercise great caution if you must travel.
