Liberal Opens Golf Season Today

Liberal opens their golf season Thursday at Willow Tree Golf Course.  The Redskins host Meade, Guymon, Hugoton, Texhoma, Dodge City JV, and Garden City JV Thursday at 3 p.m.  The varsity team right now includes seniors Michael Begley, Daniel Dowell, Hunter Sandell, and George Fitzgerald, junior Blake Stout, and sophomore Garrett Poulton.  The Redskins lose Garrett's broth Lucas Poulton who made it to state last year.  Kody Thexton enters his eighth year as head coach.  The Redskins last made it to state in 2005.  Click on the audio icon for a preview with coach Thexton.
