Redskin Baseball Wins Blowout and Nail Biter
03/27/2013

Liberal's baseball team found the win column for the first time this season Tuesday in Ulysses.  The Redskins won a 13-0 blowout and a 4-2 game which went nine innings.

In game one, Jared Hasik pitched four strong innings for the win in a game which went five innings.  Liberal scored four in the first, then six in the second with only one hit, then three in the fifth.

Collin Ware and Christian Hernandez combined to pitch a gem in game two.  Ware went six strong innings allowing just two runs.  Christian Hernandez struck out six in three innings for the win.  The game was tied 2-2 after seven innings.  Liberal finally broke through in the ninth when Jared Hasik doubled to lead off the inning.  Hernandez drove him home and Brandyn Terrazas hit a sacrifice fly for the fourth run.

The Redskins are 2-3 and host Guymon Friday for one game.  The game has been pushed up to 2 p.m. Friday.
