Redskins Put Guymon Away Early
02/10/2010

Liberal raced out to a 32-13 halftime lead in route to a 56-46 win over the Guymon Tigers at the 'Big House' Tuesday night. The Skins led 43-25 after three quarters. Jade Cathey scored 16 to lead the Redskins while Tyson Deaton and Kedrick Eyle scored 12 piece. Liberal head coach Drew Gruver says his teams pressure gave Guymon problems. "We were able to bother them with our pressure a little bit," Gruver said after Liberal's 14th straight win over the Tigers. "We got some easy buckets and got them sped up and got them to turn the ball over. But at the same time we turned the ball over too much as well." The Tigers fall to 9-11 after the loss. Liberal (10-5) hosts Hays Friday night at about 7:45 on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net. The Redskins will be featured during the Rowdy Crowd Show Thursday night at Billy's on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
