Republic County Outlasts Meade

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) - Republic County outlasted No. 1 seed Meade in overtime Saturday to win the Kansas Class 2A boys title 64-53 in Manhattan's Bramlege Coliseum.
 
     The Buffaloes (25-0) trailed by six points late in the fourth quarter before a layup from Trevor Allen at the buzzer sent the game into overtime knotted at 48.
 
     Trenton Kuhlman led Republic County with 30 points, while Allen finished with 21.
 
     Meade (24-1) was led by 15 points from Jett Little, 12 from Trevin Wiens and 11 from Morgan Davis.
