Hays Hands Liberal a Season Ending Defeat

Liberal played the Hays Indians a closer game than the previous two meetings, but the result was the same.  Hays won a game against the Redskins for the third time this season.  The Indians held off the Redskins 73-64.

The Redskins, who lost to Hays 68-50 and 60-46 in the previous two meetings, trailed by just two in the third quarter and trailed 60-56 in the fourth quarter.

J.J. Lewis scored 22  and William Ross added 18 in their final Redskin games.

Liberal finishes 7-14 while the 14-7 Indians qualify for state for the first time since 2003.
