Third Time's A Charm For New Miss Liberal Giovanna Baca

A new Miss Liberal was crowned Sunday afternoon at the Jim Maskus Auditorium at Liberal High School. In front of a large crowd, Giovanna Baca was crowned Miss Liberal 2013 by the outgoing Miss Liberal, Lauren Sarchet. This was the third time Baca has competed for the title. Giovanna owned the afternoon as not only did she win the title, Miss Liberal, but she also won the Eveningwear award, the Physical Fitness in Swimwear Award, the Private Interview Award, and the Adrienne Rosel Bulinski, "Quality Of Life"Award. The Artistic Expression in Talent Award went to 1st Runner-up, Tabitha Barnett. 2nd Runner-up was SCCC/ATS student Isabella Martinez. Also competing were Blanca Richard, Kaylonni Williams, and Nichole Kirk. Over $7000 in scholarships along with several other gifts and gift certificates were presented to all the contestants.
