J.J. Lewis Signs at Fort Hays State
02/06/2013
J.J. Lewis

Liberal's J.J. Lewis signed to play football at Fort Hays State Wednesday morning during National Signing Day.  Lewis will play for LHS 1992 graduate Chris Brown and play with 2012 LHS graduate Justin McPhail.  The 6'4" Lewis will be a receiver for the Tigers but says he may redshirt next season.

Lewis is Liberal's sixth leading receiver in a single season after 579 receiving yards for the 2-7 Redskins.  Lewis ties Ken Sherman for fourth all time in single season history for receptions in a season with 41.  Lewis also caught six touchdown passes.  Lewis caught 12 passes for 134 yards as a junior and three balls for 24 yards as a sophomore.

Lewis is currently playing basketball for the Redskins and leads the team at 12 points and eight rebounds per game.
