A world-renowned architect has agreed to
help design the new Big Well Museum in Greensburg.
Greensburg officials announced Monday that Ralph Appelbaum
Associates, of Washington D.C., will join Kansas City-based firm
BNIM to design the museum.
Appelbaum Associates has designed such landmarks as the U.S.
Holocaust Museum and the American Museum of Natural History.
The Big Well Museum will be designed to tell the story of the
largest hand-dug well in the world. But it will also note the May
4, 2007, tornado that nearly wiped out Greensburg and the
community's decision to rebuild in an environmentally friendly way
