Krause Court Deaths Determined Murder/Suicide
01/15/2010

A local coroner says Liberal resident Jose Angel Rodriguez killed his wife and then himself Saturday evening at their home on Krause Court in Liberal. Coroner Hubert Peterson determined 36 year old Jose Angel Rodriguez smothered his wife 39 year old Alicia Rodriguez with a pillow while she slept Saturday evening. Peterson says the man then took a circular saw and inflicted wounds to his legs severing his femoral arteries causing him to bleed to death. The couple has two teenage children who returned home Saturday evening to find a note which said the parents were in Garden City. The door to the couple's bedroom was locked. After the couple missed several days of work, concerned employers and family notified authorities Wednesday, who then went to the home at 1221 Krause Court to find the two bodies.
