Top 25 Contestants Announced For Booster Club Showdown

The line-up for the 2010 LHS Booster Club Country Showdown has been chosen. Over 40 hopeful contestants submitted entries in hopes of making it to the Showdown, and competing for over $3000.00 in cash and prizes, and the right to be one of the opening acts for Nashville recording star, Bucky Covington. 3 independant judges listened to all the submitted entries by number with the names of the singers kept anonomous. After a 2 hour listening session here are the names of the contestants. Adriane Davis, Dodge City, Chris Aarons, Protection KS, Jimmy Ortiz, Liberal, Lorrie Cook, Forgan, Sarah Thompson, Liberal, Wally Garcia, Elkhart, Matt Holley, Hugoton, Jordan Urban, Liberal, Collin McClendon, Pampa TX, Allison Rice, Beaver OK, Becky Robison, Forgan OK, Denasa Rice, Liberal, Kara Lewis Liberal, Renee Beesley, Hugoton, Wendy Keith, Hooker OK, Charley Tucker, Elkhart, Richie Dorman, Forgan OK, Kara Sears, Moscow, Easton Hamlin, Moscow, Brie King, Liberal, Chelsea Beck, Shattuck OK, Jessica Baldwin, Plains, Kelsi Moree, Liberal, Sara Whitfield, Keyes OK, and Tim Nation, Cimarron KS. The Showdown will be held at the Liberal High School Auditorium, Friday, January 22nd. The doors will open at 6;30 with the show starting at 7:00. Tickets are $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for students, with all of the proceeds going to the Liberal Booster Club. This competition is unique as every paid admission gets to vote for their favorite singer in each round. Audience votes weigh 50% of the total with the judges scores weighing the other 50%. So, come out, support your favorite singer and the LHS Booster Club. Tickets will be available at the door.
