Lady Skins' Win in OT; Boys Fall Short

LHS at Hays 2010.

The Liberal Lady Redskins defeated the Lady Indians of Hays 62-58 in overtime on Friday in Hays.

Justice Norah led the Lady Skins with 25 points. Kayla Payton added 18 which was her season high.

Hays drops to 1-6 overall, and 0-1 in the WAC. Liberal improves to 6-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

The Liberal Redskins came up a bit short on the road in Hays 56-48.

Hays led 17-11 at the end of one quarter. Jade Cathey led the Skins with 19 points. Tyson Deaton added 17 points.

Hays improves to 6-1 overall and 1-0 in the WAC. Liberal drops to 5-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Both Liberal basketball teams will play at Garden City on Tuesday.
