Lindsay Garinger who is a member of the Southwestern Heights Lady Mustangs volleyball and basketball teams has informed kscbnews.net on Tuesday night that she plans to sign a letter of intent to play volleyball for Barton County Community College on Wednesday, January 21. Garinger released a statement to KSCB Tuesday night on her decision.

"Barton (County) did really well last year and my visit went really well. Coach (Jamie) Cabral is a great guy and apparently does things right in practice to get his team to achieve big things. I will still be able to compete close to home and have good competition. It just seemed like a good fit and am looking forward to signing officially on the 21st."

Garinger was apart of the Lady Mustangs third place finish in 3A last fall. She was also a major contributor in the Lady Mustangs basketball 3A state championship last March.

Garinger's verbal commit to Barton comes on the evening of teammate Britny Butler's signing to play volleyball next year at Seward County.
