Katie Runs into the Ocean. I HAVE RUN 3132 MILES ACROSS AMERICA!!!!

Katie Visco completed the run yesterday with family and friends watching as she ran into the Pacific Ocean. She started her run in March and made her way down the final stretch walking after injuring a knee. Her reason for the run in her own words: "Pave Your Lane inspires the pursuit of dreams, and empowers mind and heart-fueled passion and action. By running across America, I will exemplify this mantra to the world, shining the light on the importance of following your heart, passions, and dreams." She hoped to raise some $32,000 for the Foundation.

Katie ran through Liberal in September and appeared on the Sportguys. She raised over $1000. during her stop.

Katie Visco, at 23, who is attempting to become the youngest female to run solo across the United States, will be making a stop in Liberal. Katie, who started her run March 29th, 2009, in Boston Massachusetts, hope to complete her venture in December in San Diego California. Katie is running to raise funds for and promote "Girls On The Run", a worthy charity that empowers young girls through running. She also hopes to inspire people across America to follow their passion and to connect to what gives them life and pave their own lane to pursue it, while making a positive impact on the world. Katie will be in Liberal through Thursday afternoon, where she will speaking to several Liberal schools. While Katie is in town, there will be a fundraiser for "Girls On The Run" on Wednesday at 5:00pm at Billy's. Katie hopes to raise $32,000.00 on her cross country trek, $10.00 for every mile covered.
