Larry Howell Passes Away

Larry Howell Past Chamber President and Marketing Director For Epic Touch has died from complications of H1N1. Larry passed away Friday evening at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Larry had been at Wesley the past couple of weeks after being airlifted from Southwest Medical Center in Liberal. He was surrounded by family and friends when he died. Larry was a Liberal resident since graduating college, and most recently was the Marketing and Advertising Director for Epic Touch Company. Larry served a number of years on the Liberal Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and was President of the Board in 2009. In addition to his many duties with the Chamber of Commerce, Larry was also active on the Liberal High School Site Council, Good Samaritan Advisory Board, Mid America Air Museum Foundation Board and was a Precinct Committeeman for Seward County Republicans. Larry was also very active in his church, First Baptist Church of Liberal, where he served as an usher and a greeter. Larry also volunteered his time to numerous organizations, and served as an emcee for many events. Larry is survived by his wife, Jamie, four children and two grandchildren. Funeral Services for Larry will be Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 10:00 AM (CST) at the First Baptist Church in Liberal, Kansas. Interment will follow in the cemetary at Tribune, Kansas.

Visitation will be at Kitch Brenneman Funeral Home on West Second Street in Liberal on Monday Dec. 21 from 1-7:30 PM
