Saints and Lady Saints Defeat Barton

The Seward County Saints and Lady Saints won on the road on Saturday night at Barton County.

The Lady Saints won 70-56. All five Seward starters scored in double digits in the victory. Seward led 38-23 at halftime.

Rachel Barnes played 36 minutes and finished with 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Liberal's Hannah Rotolo who plays for Barton County finished with 10 points and 5 assists.

Barton drops to 4-7 overall and 0-2 in the Jayhawk West. The Lady Saints are now 10-0 and 2-0 in the league.

The Seward men defeated Barton 83-73. The Saints had six players finish with double digits in scoring.

Latiq Agard led the way with 20 points. Marky Nolen finished with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Seward led by 20 at the half 47-27.

Barton outscored the Saints in the second half though, but Seward was able to hold on for the ten point victory.

Barton drops to 10-3 overall and 1-1 in the Jayhawk League. Seward improves to 8-3 overall, and 2-0 in the league.

The Seward men and women will next play at Colby on Wednesday with the women’s game at 6 p.m. and the men’s game to follow at 8 p.m. Both games will air on B107 and kscb.net.
