Alan Soltero, 4, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 10:57 a.m. crash.
The 1999 Chevy Suburban he was riding in, driven by Alejandro Gomez, 42, of Dodge City, was northbound on Highway 283 when it lost control and entered the north ditch. The suburban rolled one time and part of a second time before it landed on its wheels, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Gomez, Maria Gomez-Soltero, 37, and Alejandra Gomez, 14, all of Dodge City, were taken to Minneola District Hospital for injuries.
Alan Soltero was the only one not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
