Skins and Lady Skins Fall to Sunrise Christian

The Liberal Lady Redskins played their second game in two days as they were defeated by Sunrise Christian 49-40 Saturday afternoon at Newman University in Wichita.

Liberal trailed 24-18 at the half, but trailed by double digits for most of the second half. The closest the Lady Skins got in the 4th quarter was seven.

Sunrise Christian improves to 3-2, while Liberal drops to 1-1.

The Liberal Redskins boys basketball team was defeated 33-27 following the girls game.

Sunrise Christian got off to an early 10-0 start and led 21-13 at halftime. The closest Liberal got in the second half was 5 in the 4th quarter.

Sunrise Christian improves to 6-0 on their season. The Skins' drop to 1-1.

Both Liberal teams will play at Guymon on Tuesday night.
