Lady Saints and Lady Dragons Pick Up Where they Left Off
12/03/2009

The Lady Saints and Lady Dragons seemed to pick up from where

they left off last March. Hutch beat Seward in the Region 6 title game

53-51 in a defensive struggle. Last night defense was served again in

#22 Seward's 53-43 win over #11 Hutchinson. Seward held the Lady

Dragons to 27 percent shooting and didn't allow a double figure scorer.

Seward just hit 30 percent of their shots in a game they led 19-18 at

halftime. Seward head coach Toby Wynn says both teams defended.

"You have two teams that know each other really well," Wynn said.

"They really prepare well for each other offensively in what they do.

And the second thing you have is when you play a conference game

before Christmas most coaches will tell you it takes a whole first

semester to get your offense where it is clicking so you saw defense

be the mainstay tonight." Rachel Barnes scored 22 points and grabbed

12 rebounds. Kendra Spresser added 11 points five rebounds.

The 9-0 Lady Saints play at Barton Saturday night at 6 PM on B107.5

and kscbnews.net.
