"That" Liberal Band Superior
10/17/2012

"That" Liberal Band competed in the WAC Marching Festival on Tuesday Night and marched out of Garden Citiy's New Stadium with their 14th consecutive Superior Ratinig (I). USD 480 Band Directors are Alicia Kerwood/Color Guard, Dave Kerwood/Front Ensemble, Zeb Tiedeman/Marching Execution, Grant Mathews/Percussion, and Lance Burnett/Gerneral Effect and Music. The LHS Band has either tied or won the WAC League Championship outright in each of those 14 years. Their next performance is on Friday at the Homecoming Pep Rally at approximately 1pm.

Lance Burnett has also been awarded the Outstanding High School Music Educator Award for the 2012-2013 School Term in the Southwest District of the Music Educators Association. This qualifies Mr. Burnett to be considered for the

Statewide Outstanding Music Educator in early February at the State Convention. Congratulations to Mr. Burnett, the USD 480 Band Staff, and a cadrie of very motivated high school instrumentalists.
