Saints and Lady Saints Face Challenging Weekend
11/25/2009

The Seward basketball teams will be busy this Thanksgiving weekend. The 6-0 Lady Saints play New Mexico Junior College Friday at 1:30 in Garden City on 1270 AM and kscbnews.net. Seward faces 10th ranked Western Nebraska Saturday at 1:30 on B107.5 and kscbnews.net. Head coach Toby Wynn says Seward begins a tough stretch. "We're really going to find out a lot about ourselves," Wynn said. "We play New Mexico who is a good basketball team. We just happend to catch them on a night when it was their fifth game in six days (Nov. 7 Seward won 72-47 in Liberal) so they'll be refreshed this time. Western Nebraska's always in the national tournament so they'll be a really big challenge for us." The 6-1 Seward men play in Snyder, Texas against Odessa Friday at 5 PM and Texas Western Saturday at 5 PM. The Odessa Wranglers are 9-1 and coached by former Butler head man Dennis Helms.
