LHS senior Michael Cummins is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Cummins rushed for a team leading 550 yards and five touchdowns, returned a punt for a touchdown, and picked off a pass to go with 25 tackles and two tackles for loss. Cummins injured his knee during the Dodge City game week four and played most of the season with the injury. Cummins moved to running back and safety after starting two years as a defensive end at LHS. Cummins says he hopes to play football in college somewhere.
