Lady Saints Carve Clarendon

Lady Saint head coach Toby Wynn knew scoring opportunities would present themselves early and often Friday night against Clarendon. His team practiced all week on 2 on 1 and 3 on 2 breaks. His team didn't disappoint Friday night crushing Clarendon (7-3) 119-70. SCCC led 67-32 at halftime. Wynn says his team executed nicely. "We talked all week long working on 3 on 2 and 2 on 1's," Wynn said. "We talked about getting to the lane and getting to the basket and getting lay ups or free throws and not settling for three point shots. We worked hard on passing out of the trap and attacking right away. For our girls working on it all week I thought they executed the game plan pretty well tonight." Rachel Barnes led six Lady Saints scoring in double digits. Barnes scored a career high 30 and grabbed seven rebounds. Nadia Rosario scored a career high 17 points with eight rebounds. Vaneza Junior dropped in 15. Kendra Spresser added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Sheila Washington dropped in a caree high 12 points with seven assists. Morgan Skomal added 10 points and six rebounds. The 5-0 Lady Saints face 8-0 Frank Phillips Saturday night at 6 PM. The Lady Plainsmen beat Pratt 82-34 Friday in the Green House. The game will air on B107.5 and kscbnews.net with Saints Shootaround at 5:45 PM.
