New Political Group to Meet Again Thursday

The new political group will meet at Ruffinos on Thursday at 7 p.m.

The new political group that met last month at the EPIC conference room last month will be meeting again Thursday are Ruffinos Restaurant at 7 p.m.

Everyone is encouraged to come early and eat dinner at Ruffinos. The agenda for the meeting consists of another video on campaign finance, discussing and selecting a name for the group, discussing regular dates for meetings, and guest Crystal Clemens from the County Clerks office will make a presentation on 2010 Election Information and offices that will be up for election on a local, state, and national level. Also everyone's ideas and thoughts are welcome.

The group would like to focus on bringing common sense to the political process, and following the constitution. The group's first meeting had over 25 people in attendance with standing room only. The public is invited to attend no matter what your political party affiliation is. Ruffino's is located at the Grier House at the Rock Island Depot. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
