11/18/2009

Hayden Holub and Kelby Tomlinson

Two SCCC baseball players signed to play baseball at Texas Tech Wednesday afternoon. Right-handed pitcher Hayden Holub and shortstop Kelby Tomlinson signed in the All American Room at SCCC. Holub, who went 2-0 for the Saints last year and posesses a plus slider picked the Red Raiders over St. Louis and Dayton. Holub is from Seymour, Texas. His grandfather Doug Duncan played football at Tech. Tomlinson hit .274 with 15 RBI's for the Saints as a freshman. He picked Tech over K-State. Tomlinson is from Elgin, Oklahoma. Tomlinson will play for the Liberal Bee Jays this summer. Holub and Tomlinson follow in the footsteps for pitcher Bobby Doran who is a junior at Texas Tech after two years at Seward. Interviews with Holub, Tomlinson, and SCCC head coach Galen McSpadden will air Thursday morning during the Sportsguys on Talkradio 1270 and kscb.net.
