Fernandes is KJCCC Player of the Week
10/28/2009

Sheina Fernandes

After putting up the Lady Saints first triple-double of the season, Seward County freshman volleyball player Sheina Fernandes has been named KJCCC Player of the Week for the third time this season. The Brazilian middle hitter had 11 kills, 11 blocks, and 10 digs in the Lady Saints only match of the week against Pratt in a huge road win in Seward’s quest for the Jayhawk West Title. Fernandes and the Lady Saints travel to Barton County Wednesday night in a match that will more less settle the conference championship. If Seward wins they have just 2-8 Dodge City left on the schedule and a one game lead, where if Seward loses tonight they will need help from Barton County Monday night against Hutchinson if they look to hang on to the conference title. Twitter updates will be available on the Saints homepages at scccsaints.com.
