Grassroots Local Political Group to Meet Monday
10/23/2009

The meeting will take place on Monday at 7 p.m. at the EPIC Conference Room in the Landmark Center.

Some local community members are starting a new political discussion group in Liberal that will meet to discuss local, state, and national issues.

Monday's meeting will focus on the Constitution, and how to start a grassroots campaign. There will be video clips provided. There will also be some recently elected local officials on hand to talk about their experiences in local politics and why they decided to get involved.

The group will also set up future meetings, and will focus on a 'common sense' type approach to politics, the Constitution, and encouraging and recruiting candidates to run for public office.

The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Monday in the EPIC PCS Conference room in the Landmark Center. There is no cost to attend the meeting, and everyone no matter what your political party affiliation may be is invited to attend.
