Man Killed During Robbery Attempt
08/05/2012

A man is dead after police say he was shot during an apparent robbery. It happened Sunday morning just after 3:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Avenue F in Dodge City. Officials say the victim was found unresponsive and suffering from what paramedics believed to be blunt force trauma injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors discovered he had a gunshot wound. The man died a short time later from his injuries. The victim has been identified as Miguel Tol-Juarez, 24, of Dodge City. Witnesses told police that three people approached Tol-Juarez and demanded money. They say Tol-Juarez was shot during the confrontation with the group and they ran away. Their identities are unknown at this time and police have not released their descriptions. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 877-424-4414 or the Dodge City Police Department at 620-225-8128.
