Lady Skins Aim to Sweep Great Bend

The Liberal Lady Skins open play at state today at 3 pm at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka. The 21-1 top seeded Lady Skins play WAC rival 15-7 Great Bend today on Talkradio 1270. Liberal is led by senior guards Kiara Cohens (13 points and seven rebounds per game) and Hannah Rotolo (12p, four rebounds, and five steals per game). Senior forward MaKayla McPhail averaged nine points and seven rebounds per game. Liberal beat Great Bend both games this year 45-42 in Great Bend and 57-37 in the 'Big House.' Senior Amanda Dreiling leads the Lady Panthers at 13 points per game. Great Bend beat McPherson and Salina South to reach state. Liberal blew out Wichita West and Kapaun to reach state for the first time since 1998. The Lady Skins are looking for their first state wins since 1987 and their first state championship since 1976.
