Liberal Spikers Drop Two of Three in Hays

Liberal's volleyball season has hit a snag. Liberal lost two of three matches at Hays Monday. Liberal dropped matches to Phillipsburg (18-25, 16-25) and Hays (25-23, 13-25, 13-25). LHS beat Colby (25-16, 25-13). Liberal is 19-7 but 3-5 since their 16-2 start and Liberal Tournament championship. Ashlyn Westerman registered 24 kills and 32 assists. Katie Burnett added 27 kills and eight digs. Caitlin Bauer added 16 kills and 34 assists. Destiny Hall had 12 kills and three blocks. Emily Bayouth added three kills and three digs. Liberal goes to Manhattan Friday for a tournament Saturday. Liberal's match at home against Garden City will be made up Monday.
