US Highway 54/Pancake in Liberal Blvd Has Been Re-opened: UPDATE12:10am

UPDATE: 12:10am  Highway 54/Pancake Blvd in Liberal which had been closed due to an accident at the intersection of New York Street and Highway 54/ Pancake Blvd. has been re-opened. The accident occurred around 7:00pm and preliminary reports indicate the fatality accident to have involved a child and a semi truck. As more information becomes available, KSCB News will post the information on this website.

 

UPDATE: East bound lanes of US, Highway 54 have been reopened, West bound lanes remain closed at Virginia Street to Kansas Avenue

 

US 54 and Pancake Boulevard in Liberal are closed Friday evening, as the Liberal Police Department and first responders work the scene of an accident.  The highway is closed between Kansas Avenue and Virginia Street; it is not known when it will be opened.
