A two vehicle accident occurred Wednesday night at 9:05pm in Dodge City involving several members of the Dodge City Community College volleyball team, including Janelle Burnett. The vehicle carrying the volleyball players was heading south on 14th Street in Dodge City when they were attempting to make a left hand turn on to Spruce Street. The vehicle was struck by a northbound vehicle. Three of the five volleyball players including Burnett were trapped in the vehicle for several minutes before being freed by Dodge City emergency personel, and were taken to Western Plains Medical Center in Dodge City.
