Play to Feature New SCCC/ATS Drama Teacher

Gypsy Theatre Company, Inc. of New York will present “john & jen”, by Andrew Lippa and Tom Greenwald, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, August 8 at at the Seward County Community College/Area Technical School Showcase Theatre in Liberal.

“john & jen” is a two-person musical, starring professional actors, Josh Davidson of New York City and Alison Bridget Chambers of New York City. Chambers will join SCCC/ATS this fall as drama/communications instructor.

The Gypsy Theatre Company has toured the country with “john & jen”. After a successful summer, they will perform their last show of the season in Liberal Saturday.

Tickets will be $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors at the door.

“john & jen” is a truly original musical that takes a look at the complexities of relationships between brothers and sisters and parents and children and set against the background of a changing America between 1950 and 1990. It is a show brimming with intelligence, wit and beautiful melodies.
