Moreno Wins Fall Crown

KSCB News - October 3, 2009 12:00 am

Sylvia Moreno is Liberal’s 2009 Fall Homecoming Queen. Moreno was crowned Friday night during halftime of the LHS football game at Redskin Field. Moreno plays soccer and runs cross country at LHS. Moreno says she is proud of the honor. “I didn’t really expect to win,” Moreno said. “I’m happy that I got it. I makes me feel proud that my school members voted for me so I’m happy about that.”

Moreno says she plans on attending Seward County Community College with hopes of being a cheerleader and want to study to be a pediatrician. Lorie Rine and Emily Jackson were also queen candidates.
