Man Killed On Lawnmower In Texhoma

Texas County Sheriff’s Department said a man died after crossing U.S. Highway 54 while driving a lawn mower Friday night in Texhoma. Billy Roy Huddleston, 72, of Texhoma passed way Sunday morning at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas, said Texas County Sheriff Matt Boley. On Friday after 8 p.m., Huddleston was at LeAnn’s Cafe and then went to CEFCO. Huddleston was driving a lawn mower and went to cross the highway to go home. As Huddleston was traveling north on the highway, an eastbound vehicle on the highway struck Huddleston. Boley said he was transported to an Amarillo hospital by Guymon EMS.
