Long Time Elected Seward County Official Passes Away

A Long time elected official in Seward County has passed away. Cynthia Sallaska, Register Of Deeds, passed away Thursday afternoon at around 4:30pm after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Cynthia was first elected to the office of Register of Deeds in April of 1989, and held that position until the time of her death. Viewings for Cynthia will be Saturday the 7th from 1-5pm and Sunday 2-5pm with the family present from 2-4pm at Brennaman Funeral Home in Liberal. The family asks that you send flowers to the same place.The address is 1212 W. 2nd in Liberal. The funeral will be at 1pm Monday the 9th at Trinity Faith Church in Liberal. Cynthia leaves behind her husband Gary, her children and grandchildren.

The Seward County GOP Precinct Members will have 21 days to appoint her, which will then have to be approved by the Governor.
