KSCB News - February 24, 2010 12:00 am

Liberal’s newest political group will meet on Thursday night at Ruffinos at 7 p.m. There will be a presentation on the Southwest Medical Center bond issue and the group will then vote on rather or not to endorse the project.

There will also be a report on the Kansas 9/12 Project State meeting and the Kansas for Liberty Rally in Wichita. Discussions will include the status of the State Sovereignty Bill in addition to other bills and resolutions of interest.

Co-founder Jim Rice said this is an opportunity to bring forth ideas, likes, and dislikes. He encouraged everyone to come early to eat and then be read to join in on the discussion.

The group’s primary focus is following the constitution and adhering the wishes of the founding fathers. The group is still in search for a name. Rice said anyone of any political affiliation is welcome to come. Also, he added that it is a community group so anyone is allowed to also bring up whatever they feel is an important issue as well.
