Liberal Police Make Arrest In Counterfeit Case

During the course of the investigation of counterfeit bills, Liberal Police officers have seized additional $20.00 bills with the following serial numbers: ML82417292A, MK17208103A, IG54081607D and JF35635634E from local businesses.

On 06-25-2015 detectives of the Liberal Police Department arrested a 49 year old Liberal man in conjunction with this investigation. An affidavit has been filed with the Seward County Attorney seeking the charges of eight counts of forgery and theft. As the investigation progresses the Liberal Police Department wants to remind everyone to remain vigilant for additional counterfeit bills.
