Liberal Man Wins With The Kansas Lottery

Everyone has heard the saying, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.” Well, diamonds may also be a man’s best friend. Just ask Anthony Prusa of Liberal. He purchased a $20 Lucky Diamonds instant scratch ticket last week, winning a $100,000 top prize!

“I buy a $20 ticket every week,” said Prusa. “It’s something my fiancée Develyn and I enjoy doing. We also like to buy a Powerball ticket or Mega Millions ticket each week. It was quite a surprise when I realized I had won $100,000 on a scratch ticket.”

It was also quite a surprise for the store clerk who checked his winning ticket.

“I went back to where I purchased my ticket to have it checked,” explained Prusa. “I think the store clerk was as excited as I was.”

Although Prusa was very happy to have won a $100,000 top prize, he’s equally excited about getting married.

“We’re getting married on October 15,” said Prusa. “Winning a $100,000 top prize is just an extra bonus.”

Prusa, who is self-employed, plans to save his winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hutch’s C-Store 111, located at 1580 N. Kansas Ave. in Liberal.
