Liberal City Commission Meets, Wraps Up 2016

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening and tidy up loose ends for 2016. The Commission approved Fiscal Year 2016 Transfers, Reclassified Delinquint Account Receivables and Utility Accounts, and after a Public Hearing, Adopted Ordinance 4477 Amending the 2016 Fiscal Year Appropriations for the Special Fire Equpment Fund and the Debt Service Fund.

Commissioners also approved the Crack Seal Bid for the City with B&H Paving of Scott City in the amount of .97 cents/lb, not to excede $100,000.00 The area to be crack sealed in 2017 covers the areas from 2nd Street North and Kansas Avenue East.

The Commission also appointed Monalicia Arredondo, Tracy Guiterrez, and Kevin Frauli to the Planning and Zoning Board.

Also, due to scheduling conflicts, the Liberal City Commission moved the first meeting in January from the 10th, to Wednesday January 11, 2017.

As a reminder, all City offices will be closed January 2nd in observance of the New Year holiday.
