Liberal City Commission Meets, Approves Sprinkler System Repairs

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening and approved sprinkler system repairs at the Mid America Air Museum. Cost of the repairs will be $11,525.00

Commissioners also approved the purchase of 2 U-shaped desks for the Police Department in the amount of $3,427.00 and approved renovations to the Airport Terminal to accommodate the new SkyWest 50 seat airplanes that will be servicing Liberal starting after the first of the year. Cost of renovations are around $40,000.00 with the money to come from the airport land sales fund.

The Commissioners and those in attendance also heard a presentation on the One Cent Sales tax. The presentation focused mainly on the Housing portion of the voter approved sales tax.
