Liberal City Commission Meets, Approves Pine Street Lighting

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening at 6:30pm in the City Commission Chambers for their regularly scheduled meeting. Among the items on the agenda, the Commission advanced to a second reading, Ordinance 4405, Rezoning a parcel of land, just to the south and east of the Second and Western intersection from an Agriculture District to a Commercial District. Also the Commission approve to improve the lighting along Pine Street fro Oklahoma Street to Country Estates. This would add lighting to the walking sidewalk/path on Pine Street. Total cost of the Lighting will be $48,000.00. The Liberal City Commission will meet Wednesday at 5:30pm at the Liberal Air Museum to further discuss the Budget for the City for 2013. The next regular meeting of the Liberal City Commission is set for August 14th.
