Liberal City Commission Meets, Approves Development Agreement With Pinnacle Group

The Liberal City Commission met on Tuesday Evening and after a Public Hearing Adopted Ordinance 4485 which adopts the Redevelopment Project Area 1 of the North Liberal Redevelopment District. In a related item, the Commission approved the Development Agreement with Pinnacle Developments LLC.

Commissioners approved the waiver of Permit Fees for the VAS Hotels LLC for the Hotel and Conference Center on East Pancake BLVD.

Appointed to the Library Board by the Commission was Robert Oblander and Cheryl Carson.

City commissioners approved the purchase of a K9 through Johnson’s K9’s in the amount of $11,000.00 with trvel and expenses bringing the total to $15,260.00 with the funds to come from the Crime Prevention portion of the one cent sales tax. The Police Department will check with another breeder that came in at the last minute and inform the Commission with their information.

Commissioners then approved the replacement for an HVAC unit for the Recreation Department in the amount of $5,650.00 from Luck Refrigeration of Liberal. The Commission the heard an update on the success of the Arkalon Assault from Ronna Stump organizer of the event.

Commissioners will take part in the Council of Governments on Thursday June 29th.
